CASE STUDY:

Remedial Action Plan (RAP)

H3M Environmental was contracted to provide comprehensive services for an industrial site in Crossfield, Alberta, which operates under an Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA) approval. This project involved the development and submission of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) to address historical soil and groundwater contamination. The complexity of the project also included the removal of two 50,000L underground storage tanks as part of a plant expansion. Situated near the historical spill, the tanks required careful planning to prevent further contamination during their removal.

The removal of the tanks was carefully coordinated to mitigate any potential risks from the historical spill, which was located near the shallow groundwater table. H3M’s team ensured all necessary precautions were taken to prevent contaminant migration and to protect the surrounding environment. This project demonstrates H3M’s commitment to addressing complex environmental challenges with careful planning and execution.
