Northern Alberta Pipeline Development
H3M Environmental served as the prime environmental contractor for the project, overseeing the collection of all pre-disturbance environmental data in compliance with provincial and federal regulations. Leveraging its REIL (Regulatory, Environmental, Indigenous Relations, and Land) Project Management model, H3M and its affiliates provided comprehensive support—from regulatory approvals and environmental planning to Indigenous and stakeholder engagement. Their work included route optimization to minimize environmental impacts and close coordination with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance at every phase of development.
The Pipeline Project is situated entirely on Crown Land within the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River and spans approximately 82 kilometres, consisting of NPS 12 (crude oil) and NPS 4 (condensate) pipelines connecting two pump stations. Designed to collect crude oil from local producers, the pipeline integrates into an existing system to facilitate efficient transport to the Edmonton, Alberta area, supporting regional energy infrastructure and economic growth.
